parker+paige was recently nominated for a Love Your Local Business Grant. The hiring grant is being awarded by Inuit.com, and is valued at $50K. Businesses are encouraged to spread the word to their social network fan base to vote online at http://lovealocalbusiness.intuit.com/. parker+paige is currently in #443rd place out of over 900+ businesses being considered for a grant nationwide.Intuit.com has pledged to distribute over $1M in hiring grants to local & small businesses in 2011; over $100K of that money will be awarded in June alone. The top 4 businesses will be awarded with $25K checks apiece. Voting for this month’s grant winners ends on June 30, 2011. Each participant, fan, visitor, or nominee may only vote once. Additional votes by the same person will be deducted from the businesses grant total before finalists are announced. parker+paige says that if they are chosen as a winner, they plan to hire a professional web developer to redesign the company’s website with a more user-friendly e-commerce platform with a portion of the funds they are awarded.
